How Spyll Protects Anonymity
How Spyll separates visible identity from account access on anonymous surfaces, while still keeping moderation and safety in place.
How it works
On anonymous parts of Spyll, what other people see is separated from the account details used to access the app.
That separation is there so your public profile is not the center of the conversation when you choose to post anonymously.
Verification and account controls can still exist behind the scenes without being shown as your public-facing identity on anonymous surfaces.
How to stay anonymous
- Do not put your own name, social handles, class details, or screenshots into the content.
- Assume public content can still be copied or shared outside Spyll.
- Avoid details that make it easy for someone to narrow a post down to a single person or class.
- If something exposes you, ask for a review quickly.
What anonymity cannot do
If you reveal your own identity inside the content, other people can still see it, save it, and share it.
Anonymous spaces also do not prevent moderation, reporting, or internal review when content becomes harmful or abusive.
When we step in
If a post is harmful, abusive, or exposes private information, we review it and can take action. Anonymous spaces are meant to feel safe.
That can include limiting content, removing posts, restricting features, or taking action on the account behind the activity when needed.
